Cap. 1The Shiny Key and the Secret Door

Luna found her friend, Barnaby the Bear. Barnaby was a large and fluffy bear. He had soft brown fur. He wore a bright yellow vest with silver buttons. Barnaby was very brave and very strong. He was looking for sweet honey in a log. Luna showed him the shiny silver key. Barnaby let out a happy, low hum. He said the key looked very special. He knew a door in the old stone wall. The wall was at the edge of the woods. They decided to walk there together. Barnaby held a big wooden walking stick. Luna held the silver key very tight. They walked past the tall, yellow sunflowers. The sun felt warm on their heads. They heard the birds singing in the trees. They saw a butterfly with blue wings. They felt very happy to be together. Barnaby told a funny story about a bee. Luna laughed and her ears wiggled. They were the best of friends. The path was soft under their feet. The woods were full of magic.

They reached the old stone wall. The stones were covered in thick green moss. The wall was very tall and very old. Luna saw a tiny wooden door. The door was hidden behind some long vines. Barnaby pushed the vines away with his big paws. There was a small silver keyhole in the door. Luna felt her heart go thump, thump, thump. She took the key out of her pocket. Her paws were shaking just a little bit. She put the key into the hole. It turned with a soft, magic click. The door opened very slowly. A bright pink light came from inside. They heard a sound like soft silver bells. Luna and Barnaby looked at each other. They stepped through the door together. The light felt warm on their faces. They saw a forest made of candy. The trees had pink leaves. The river was made of blue juice. The sky was a soft orange color. What would they find in this new world?
