Deep in the heart of the bright green jungle lived a very special snake. Her name was Serpiente. She did not look like any other snake in the world. Serpiente was covered in bright yellow polka dots and wore a tiny red hat. Her eyes were very big and they often looked in two different directions at once. She moved in wiggly loops instead of straight lines. Everyone in the forest thought she looked very crazy. But inside, Serpiente was the most friendly snake you could ever meet. She loved to sing happy songs to the moon. She loved to tell jokes to the trees. Sadly, the other animals always ran away when they saw her coming. They thought she was looking for a delicious snack. Serpiente sat on her favorite branch and felt very lonely. She wanted to have a big party with many friends. She wanted to play hide and seek in the tall grass. "I am tired of being scary," she whispered to herself. She decided it was time for a very big change.
