Princess Elara lived in a very tall stone castle. The castle sat on top of a high hill. Elara had long golden hair that reached her waist. Her bright blue eyes shone like the clear sky. Today was a very special day for the princess. She did not want to stay inside her room anymore. She put on her favorite simple blue travel dress. She placed a small silver crown on her head. Her best friend Barnaby was waiting by the door. Barnaby was a very loyal and fluffy brown dog. His tail wagged fast because he was so happy. They walked together toward the big wooden front gates. The sun felt warm on their faces this morning. Elara looked at the green hills far away. She wanted to see the whole wide world now. Her heart beat fast with a happy feeling. She took a deep breath of the fresh air. Barnaby let out a small, cheerful bark at her. They were finally ready to start their big journey. The world was full of magic and new friends. Elara waved goodbye to the tall castle towers. She took her first step onto the grassy path. Barnaby stayed right by her side the whole time.
