The moon was high and bright over the tall buildings of Gotham City. Jason and Damian were finally finished with their long night of work. They were tired and ready to rest. Damian had a small scrape on his leg from a big jump. It was not a very big hurt, but Jason felt worried. Jason’s safe house was very close by. It was a warm place with soft rugs and many books. Jason led Damian inside and turned on a golden lamp. Jason had a big secret in his heart that he kept hidden. He was very much in love with Damian. He thought Damian was the bravest boy in the whole world. He wanted to make sure Damian was always happy and safe. The rest of the Bat-Family did not know about Jason’s secret. Even Damian did not know. Inside the quiet house, it smelled like sweet tea. Jason helped Damian sit down on a big, comfy chair. Jason felt very lucky to be near him tonight.
