La perrita se veía asustada y triste, como si estuviera buscando algo. Tomás se acercó con cautela, pero la perrita no parecía brava como él pensaba al principio.
En cambio, ella miraba fijamente a Tomás con un brillo especial en sus ojos. Parecía pedirle algo, como si quisiera ser parte de su familia. - Hola pequeña perrita -dijo Tomás con voz suave-. ¿Estás perdida? La perrita movió la cola emocionada y dio unos saltitos de alegría.
Era evidente que quería quedarse con Tomás. Sin embargo, él tenía un poco de miedo porque nunca había tenido una mascota antes. - No sé si pueda cuidar de ti -dijo Tomás dudoso-.
Eres muy linda, pero me da temor que seas brava. La perrita inclinó la cabeza y le lamió la mano cariñosamente para demostrarle que no era peligrosa. A pesar del miedo inicial, Tomás comenzó a sentir simpatía por ella.
Los días pasaron y todos los días la perrita volvía a visitar a Tomás en su finca. Se convirtieron en amigos inseparables y juntos disfrutaban de largos paseos por el campo y divertidos juegos bajo el sol.
Una noche, mientras dormían plácidamente, unos ladrones irrumpieron en la finca de Tomás. Hicieron mucho ruido y despertaron a todos, incluyendo a la perrita. - ¡Tenemos que escondernos! -susurró Tomás a su nueva amiga. La perrita asintió con valentía y se escondieron juntos detrás de unos arbustos.

La perrita demostró ser leal y amorosa, convirtiéndose en una verdadera amiga para Tomás. Y así fue como una bella perrita asustada encontró un hogar lleno de amor gracias al coraje que demostró aquella noche frente a los ladrones.
A partir de ese momento, cada día era una aventura emocionante para Tomás y su fiel compañera canina. Juntos descubrieron que las apariencias pueden engañar y que siempre hay espacio en el corazón para dar amor y recibirlo.
