The Song of the Weeping Willow — Page 1

Mia wandered through the whispering woods, her bare feet brushing against soft moss. She had just finished talking to Grandfather Oak about how trees share food through their roots. Now, she was curious about the tall, slender tree by the pond. Its long, drooping branches looked like they were crying. Mia tiptoed closer and said, 'Hello, I’m Mia. Can you talk?' The tree swayed gently, and a soft, musical voice replied, 'I am the Weeping Willow. I help the pond stay clean.'
