The girl thought for a moment, then smiled. 'I’ll play it for the people of our village, not for myself.' The leprechaun nodded, impressed. 'Very well, little one. But beware, the song is not easy to carry. It will only follow you if your heart is true.'

That night, as the stars began to twinkle above the village, Cailín Óg climbed the hill once more. She placed the bell on the mossy stone and let the wind carry the song.
