Last Friday, I traveled to the countryside to visit my grandparents. I felt very excited as the car stopped in front of their cozy wooden house. Grandma and Grandpa waited for me on the porch. They hugged me tightly and smiled. It was the start of a perfect weekend.
On Saturday morning, we woke up early. The sun shone through the window, and the birds sang in the trees. We walked to the kitchen and made delicious chocolate chip cookies. I mixed the flour and sugar, while Grandma added the chocolate. The kitchen smelled wonderful! After that, we went outside to the big garden. Grandpa showed me his tall tomato plants and fresh green lettuce. We pulled out the weeds and watered the thirsty plants together. I even found a small, green frog near the pond. It jumped away quickly, and I laughed.

In the afternoon, we walked to the nearby forest. We explored the narrow paths and looked for colorful stones and interesting leaves. I discovered a bright blue feather on the ground and kept it as a special treasure. Grandpa told me stories about the forest animals. He knew everything about the owls, the foxes, and the busy squirrels. We sat on a fallen log and listened to the wind in the trees. It was very peaceful.
When the sun went down, the sky turned orange and purple. We sat on the soft grass and looked at the sky. The stars appeared one by one, like tiny diamonds. Grandpa pointed to the constellations and explained their names. I felt happy under the moonlight.
On Sunday morning, we ate a big breakfast with fluffy pancakes and sweet honey. Then, it was time to leave. I packed my small bag and said goodbye. I thanked my grandparents for the wonderful time. I waved from the car window as we drove away. My heart felt full of joy. It was the best weekend ever, and I already wanted to go back next month.
