The Adventurous Oil Drop

Once upon a time, in the warm and green lands of Venezuela, there was a tiny oil drop named Petrita. Petrita lived underground for a very long time, and even though the world above changed quickly, she stayed calm and hidden, never being discovered.

One day, while Petrita was resting in her underground home, she heard a strange sound. It was a group of explorers with helmets and tools, searching for buried treasures. Petrita, full of curiosity, decided it was time to go to the surface and find out what was happening.

With great effort, Petrita pushed her way through the layers of rock and soil until she finally reached the surface. There, the sunlight dazzled her for a moment, but soon her eyes adjusted. Everything was so bright and colorful! The tall trees, the birds singing, and the crystal-clear river flowing nearby. Petrita had never seen anything so beautiful.

The explorers, now closer, were surprised to see Petrita. "Look at that!" exclaimed one of them. "We found oil! It's the wealth of Venezuela!"

Petrita felt very special when she heard this. She didn't know she could be so important to the people of her country. She decided she wanted to learn more about how she could help her country and its people.

As the years passed, Petrita watched how her discovery helped transform Venezuela. She saw how roads and schools were built, and how cities grew and flourished. Even though she was buried again, Petrita felt proud every time she heard around her how oil was part of the wealth of Venezuelans.

One day, Petrita heard a conversation between two children playing near where she was. "Did you know that oil helps our families and our country be stronger?" said one. "Yes," replied the other, "but we have to take good care of our land and our oil so that we can always have a good life."

Petrita smiled when she heard the children. They understood how important it was to take care of the earth, something she had also learned. Over time, Petrita became a very famous drop in the stories of Venezuela, and her adventure always reminded everyone of the importance of using resources wisely and with care.

So, Petrita continued her quiet life underground, waiting for the day she would be discovered again to help her country and its people once more.
