The Fairytale Kings and the Moonlit Feast

Once upon a time, in a kingdom where the trees whispered secrets and the rivers sang lullabies, there lived three Fairytale Kings—King Bramble, King Lark, and King Willow. They ruled not with swords or crowns, but with laughter, stories, and the magic of the moon. Every full moon, they held a grand feast in the Enchanted Grove, where all creatures—big and small—were welcome to dance, dine, and dream under the silver light.

One such night, a tiny mouse named Mira tiptoed through the tall grasses, her heart full of wonder. She had heard the tales of the Fairytale Kings from her grandmother, who said they were as kind as the morning dew and as wise as the stars. Mira had never seen them, but she longed to meet them. As the moon rose high, she crept toward the Grove, her whiskers twitching with excitement.

The Grove was a place of magic. Flowers glowed with soft light, and the air shimmered like spun sugar. At the center stood a great table, covered in golden apples, honeyed bread, and silver-sweetened berries. The three Kings sat at the head, their smiles warm as the firelight. Mira, too shy to speak, hid behind a mushroom, watching as the Kings welcomed a fox, a rabbit, and even a sleepy bear.

Suddenly, the Kings noticed Mira. King Bramble stood, his eyes gentle. 'Come, little one,' he said, his voice like a lullaby. 'We have room for one more.' Mira, heart pounding, scurried forward. She was given a tiny chair and a plate of berry tarts, which she nibbled with great care. The Kings asked her questions, and she answered with honesty, telling them of her grandmother’s stories and her dreams of becoming a storyteller herself.

As the feast continued, the Kings shared tales of their own. King Lark told of a time when he helped a lost cloud find its way home, and King Willow spoke of a tree that grew flowers in the shape of smiles. Mira listened, wide-eyed, and then, with a brave little voice, she told them a story of her own—a tale of a brave mouse who helped a kind dragon find his way through a storm. The Kings clapped, and Mira felt a warm glow inside her, like the moonlight.

Before the feast ended, the Kings gifted Mira a tiny acorn, which they said would grow into a tree of stories if she kept her heart open and her spirit kind. Mira thanked them and returned home that night, her pockets full of dreams and her heart full of courage. From that day on, she told stories to all the creatures in the forest, and the Fairytale Kings watched with pride, knowing that kindness had found a new friend.
