The Map Behind the Door

Allis followed the map through the forest, stepping over roots and hopping over rocks. The sun peeked through the trees, making golden spots on the ground. She felt brave and curious, just like in her stories. Soon, she saw a rope ladder hanging from a big tree. It led up to a wooden treehouse high in the branches.

The treehouse had a red roof and blue shutters. Inside, there were books, toys, and a small bed. Allis sat on the floor and looked around. She heard a soft creak and turned to see a small door at the back of the treehouse. What could be behind it? She couldn’t wait to find out.
