Juan walked over to Pedro and asked, 'Do you want me to help you fix it?' Pedro looked up with big, sad eyes. He nodded. Juan took the crayon and looked at it carefully. He found the break and carefully wrapped the two pieces with tape. Pedro smiled for the first time that day. He said, 'Thank you, Juan.' Juan felt a warm feeling in his chest, something new and strange. He didn't know what it was, but it made him feel good.

Juan and Pedro started a new art project together. They drew a big rainbow on a piece of paper. Pedro used his fixed crayon, and Juan used his own. They made colors mix and blend, creating new shades. Mateo walked by and saw them. He stopped and said, 'That's beautiful.' Juan looked up and said, 'Thank you.' For the first time, Juan smiled. He realized that helping others could make him feel warm, not cold. Maybe this was the start of something new.
