Once upon a time, in a sky full of clouds, there lived a little cloud named Puff. Puff was different from the others. While the other clouds played tag or rolled down the sky with the wind, Puff just floated quietly, watching. Puff had a big heart, but it also had a big sadness. Puff didn’t know why, but it felt lonely and heavy, like it carried the world on its back.
One day, a storm came rolling in. Thunder clapped and lightning flashed, and the other clouds all scattered. But Puff stayed still, floating in the corner of the sky. It had never seen a storm before and didn’t know what to do. A big raindrop, named Raina, fell from the storm and landed right beside Puff. 'Are you okay?' she asked. Puff looked down at the raindrop and whispered, 'I don’t know how to feel happy.' Raina tilted her head. 'Why not try crying?' she said. 'Crying is just a way to let your feelings out.'
Puff thought about that. It had never cried before. So, it closed its eyes and let out a soft, gentle rain. A few drops fell, and then more. Soon, Puff was full of tears, but it felt lighter. Raina smiled. 'That’s better, isn’t it?' she said. Puff nodded. 'I feel better now.' From that day on, Puff cried whenever it felt sad, and the raindrops would gather around it, listening and sharing their own stories. The other clouds noticed how happy Puff had become and joined in too, and the sky became a place of comfort and kindness.
And so, Puff learned that it’s okay to feel sad, and that sharing those feelings can bring you new friends and new joy. Sometimes, the heaviest clouds can become the happiest ones, if only they let their tears fall.
