Once upon a time, there was a boy named Juanito who didn't want to go to school. He much preferred playing in the park, reading books, and drawing. One day, his mom told him he had to go to school, but Juanito refused. —I don't want to go to school —said Juanito—. It's boring and I don't learn anything. —But Juanito —said his mom—, in school you will learn important things like reading, writing, and math. —But I already know how to read and write —said Juanito—. And I don't like math. His mom sighed. She didn't know what to do. So she decided to take Juanito to school and let him see for himself what it was like. When they arrived at school, Juanito was surprised. School wasn't as boring as he thought. There were many kids playing in the playground, and the classrooms were full of colors and drawings. Juanito entered one of the classrooms and sat at a desk. The teacher was very kind and started telling the children a story. Juanito loved the story and began to get interested in school. The next day, Juanito went back to school eager to learn. He liked reading, writing, and math classes. He even made new friends. And so, Juanito, the boy who didn't want to go to school, became a boy who loved learning.
