The Princess Pea Story and the King's Bed

Once upon a time, in a kingdom where the sunflowers bowed and the rivers sang lullabies, there lived a curious little princess named Elara. She was not the tallest, the strongest, or the most glamorous in the royal family, but she had a heart as wide as the sky and a mind as sharp as a diamond. One day, the king announced a royal test: the next heir to the throne would be the one who could sleep soundly on a bed with nothing but a single pea beneath twenty feather pillows. With a gentle smile, Elara led the monster to the palace garden, where she gave him honeycakes and a basket of fruit. He ate with joy, and as he did, his eyes grew kinder and his rumble softened into a purr.
