In a quiet town, where shadows danced under the moonlight, there stood an old and mysterious house known as the Haunted House. It was said to be inhabited by the ghost of a woman named María, who had died tragically many years ago. The children of the town dared to approach the house only during the day, but at night, not even the bravest would venture near. One dark and stormy night, a group of friends—Carlos, Lucía, and Pedro—decided to face their fears and visit the Haunted House. They crept up to the house, their hearts pounding in their chests. The windows were dark, and the front door was locked. Carlos took out a lockpick and, with trembling hands, opened the door. They entered carefully, their footsteps echoing in the silence of the house. Dust floated in the air, and the smell of dampness filled their noses. Suddenly, they heard a strange noise coming from upstairs. They slowly climbed the stairs, their flashlights lighting the way. When they reached the attic, they saw a white figure floating in the air. Lucía screamed, and Pedro hid behind Carlos. But Carlos, though terrified, gathered his courage and approached the figure. To their surprise, it was not a ghost, but a white sheet that had been blown by the wind. The friends laughed at their own fear and descended the stairs, relieved and a little embarrassed. From that day on, the children of the town stopped fearing the Haunted House. They had learned that even the scariest legends may not be so scary after all.
