In a soft green forest nestled between the hills and the clouds, there lived three little bears: Benny, the bravest, who loved to climb the tallest trees; Bella, the cleverest, who could find the best berries; and Baby Bear, the smallest and softest, who loved to listen to stories at night. Their home was a warm little cabin with a hearth that glowed like a golden sun and a table that always had honey and honey cakes. Every morning, the three little bears would wake up, stretch, and say, 'Good morning, forest!' before heading out to play.
One sunny morning, as they were collecting wildflowers for their mother, they heard a soft sniffle from behind a bush. There, peering out with wide, curious eyes, was a tiny, fluffy rabbit named Ruby. Her ears were drooping, and her nose was pink and shiny with dew. 'Hello,' said Bella gently. 'Are you lost?'
Ruby blinked. 'I don’t know where I am. I was chasing a butterfly and got turned around.' Benny knelt down and offered her a daisy. 'We can help you find your way. Come with us!' Ruby looked around and then nodded. The three little bears led her back to their cabin, where Baby Bear was already curled up on the couch with a book open in her paws.
'Ruby!' Baby Bear said with a smile. 'Come in! We have honey cakes and stories.' Ruby’s eyes lit up. She had never been in a place so warm and kind. She sat beside Baby Bear and listened as the three little bears told her stories of the forest, of the stars, and of the great oak tree that was said to grant wishes to those who were brave and kind.
As the day turned into evening, Ruby stayed with them. She helped Bella gather berries and played hide-and-seek with Benny. By the time the sky turned purple, Ruby was sitting by the hearth, her paws wrapped around a warm mug of mulled apple cider. 'I never had a day like this,' she said with a yawn. 'Thank you for being my friends.'
The three little bears smiled. 'You are our friend now, Ruby. You are always welcome here.' And from that day on, Ruby came to visit every day, and the four of them became the best of friends. The forest was a little brighter because of her, and the cabin was a little warmer because of the love they shared.
And so, the three little bears learned that kindness opens doors, and that friendship is the sweetest honey of all.
