Deep in the heart of a lush, emerald-green jungle lived Timi the little tapir. Timi was a very special fellow with soft brown fur, big expressive eyes, and a cute, wiggly short trunk. Every morning, Timi loved to wiggle his trunk and set off on an adventure through the tall trees and colorful ferns. One sunny morning, Timi spotted something shiny and strange on the mossy ground. It wasn't a leaf or a stone; it was a crinkly blue plastic bottle. 'What is this?' Timi wondered, poking it with his trunk. Just then, his friend Pip the Parrot flew down. 'That is rubbish, Timi! It doesn't belong here. It can make the ground sick and hurt our friends.' Timi realized that the jungle was much prettier without the bottle, so he carefully picked it up to carry it to the edge of the forest where it could be taken away.
Continuing his walk, Timi heard a soft 'cheep-cheep' coming from a low-hanging branch. He saw a beautiful nest made of twigs and soft feathers. Timi was so curious that he wanted to poke his trunk inside to see who lived there. But he remembered what his mama told him: 'A home is a private place.' He took a big step back and watched quietly. He saw a mother bird return with food for her tiny babies. Timi felt happy that he didn't disturb them. He learned that every creature needs a safe, quiet place to sleep.
Later, Timi found a clearing filled with the most beautiful, glowing pink flowers he had ever seen. 'Oh! I must pick one to show my mama!' he cried. But as he reached out, he saw a bright yellow butterfly land on the petals to take a sip of sweet nectar. Timi stopped. If he picked the flower, the butterfly would have no lunch, and the jungle would lose a bit of its magic. 'You stay there, little flower,' Timi whispered. 'You look best right where you are.' As the sun began to set, Timi headed home with a big smile. He knew that by being kind to the plants, the animals, and the earth, he was helping his jungle home stay beautiful for everyone.
