Once upon a time, in a little village where the stars winked at the rooftops and the wind whispered secrets to the trees, there lived a baker named Lila. Her bakery smelled of cinnamon and dreams, and every morning, she baked the most delicious pastries in the whole world. But Lila had a special secret: she baked not just for people, but for the moon, the clouds, and even the wind.
One night, while Lila was kneading dough under the soft glow of the moon, she heard a tiny, trembling voice say, “Please, I’m lost.” She turned around and saw a flickering moonbeam, shaking and tearful. “I was supposed to light up the night, but I strayed too far from the sky,” it said. Lila’s heart ached for the little beam. “Don’t worry,” she said, “I’ll help you find your way home.”
Lila took a small piece of her dough and shaped it into a tiny cake. She sprinkled it with stardust she had saved from last week’s comet and baked it in the oven that glowed with moonlight. When it was done, she handed it to the moonbeam. “This cake will light your path,” she said. The moonbeam took a bite and shimmered brighter than ever. With a thank you and a twinkle, it soared back up into the sky, leaving behind a trail of silver sparkles that danced like fireflies.
From that day on, the moon was never too busy to shine down on Lila’s bakery. And every night, when the village children curled up to sleep, they would see the moonbeam’s trail glowing softly above their windows, a gentle reminder that kindness always finds a way. The end.
