One quiet evening, as the sun dipped behind the hills and the stars began to blink awake, young Leo tiptoed barefoot across the soft grass. He had heard whispers of a silver mare who galloped only under the moonlight, her coat shimmering like stardust. Most people said it was a trick of the light, but Leo believed in magic.
As the moon rose high, casting a silvery glow over the meadow, Leo spotted a flicker of movement. There she was—a horse with a coat like moonbeams, eyes like glowing amber, and a gentle nicker that sounded like a lullaby. "Hello, little one," she said, her voice like wind chimes. "You’ve found me, just as I hoped."
Leo’s heart fluttered. "Can you take me for a ride?" he asked, barely daring to breathe. The mare smiled, her teeth sparkling like pearls. "Only if you promise to help me return to my home before the dawn."
Together, they galloped through the night, past whispering trees and sparkling streams. Leo laughed as the mare leaped over fallen logs and danced through the mist. When the first rays of morning touched the sky, the mare slowed. "Thank you for helping me," she said, her voice soft. "Now, go home, little friend, and rest. Your dreams are waiting."
As Leo returned to his bed, the world felt full of wonder. He fell asleep with a smile, knowing that kindness and friendship could light up even the darkest nights.
