One rainy evening, Lila couldn't fall asleep. The storm outside rattled the windows, and the usual lullaby didn't help. Her mother tucked her in and whispered, 'Maybe it's time for a new kind of sleep.'
As Lila looked around her room, she noticed a tiny bed tucked behind the bookshelf. It was no bigger than a crate, but it gleamed with a soft golden light. Curious, she climbed onto it and felt it warm up around her, like a hug from the sun.
'Who made this bed?' she asked, but no one answered. Then, a tiny voice said, 'I did.' A small, round creature with shimmering fur and glowing eyes appeared. 'I'm Pippit, the Dream Keeper. This is the Short Bed Story bed. It helps children fall asleep and dream of what they love most.'
Lila smiled. 'I love stars, butterflies, and reading stories.'
Pippit nodded. 'Then let’s begin.' With a gentle wave of his paw, the room filled with the sound of pages turning, the rustle of wings, and the soft glow of stars. Lila felt herself drifting away, her heart full of wonder and peace.
From that night on, the Short Bed Story bed was Lila’s favorite place. She would sit on it before bed, and Pippit would help her dream of all the things that made her happy. Her sleep was deeper, her heart lighter, and her days brighter.
The moral of the story is: A little magic can help you find peace when you need it most.
