Alice was sitting under a tall, green tree on a warm afternoon. She was bored until she saw something very strange. A White Rabbit in a bright red waistcoat ran past her. He looked at a small gold watch in his paw. "Oh dear! I am very late!" he cried. Alice was very curious. She jumped up and followed him quickly. He ran into a large hole under the bushes. Without thinking, Alice crawled inside. Suddenly, she was falling! She fell slowly down a long, dark tunnel. She saw floating books, mirrors, and lamps. She was not scared; she was excited for a new adventure. Finally, she landed softly on a pile of dry leaves.

"Where am I?" Alice asked when she stood up. She was in a magical world. The grass was bright blue, and the flowers were as big as umbrellas. Alice felt very small in this new place. She walked down a path made of shiny, glowing stones. In a shimmering forest, she looked up at a giant tree. A large cat with bright purple and pink stripes was sitting on a branch. He had a giant, friendly smile. "Hello, Cheshire Cat," Alice said politely. "Which way should I go?" The cat pointed his tail toward a big castle in the distance. "The Queen lives that way, but she is very loud," he warned. Alice thanked him and started walking. She was a little bit afraid, but she took a deep breath and kept going.

Alice walked until she reached a grand garden full of red roses. There, she saw the Queen of Hearts. The Queen was tall and wore a giant red dress and a crown shaped like a heart. She was very angry because her roses were the wrong color. "Off with their heads!" the Queen shouted at the card soldiers. All the cards were shaking with fear. Alice’s heart beat fast, but she stood tall and straight. She knew she had to help. She walked right up to the Queen. "You should not be so mean to them!" Alice said in a loud, clear voice. The Queen gasped. No one had ever spoken to her like that before. The Queen looked at Alice's brave face and stopped shouting. Suddenly, the whole world began to spin like a colorful top. Alice opened her eyes and found herself back under her tree. She smiled, knowing she was much braver than she ever knew.
