Bedtime Stories for My GF: The Moonlight Library

One night, as the stars shimmered like tiny diamonds in the sky, Lily tiptoed out of her bedroom and into the backyard. The air was cool and smelled of lavender from the garden. She had always heard stories about the Moonlight Library—a place that only opened when the moon was full and the world was quiet. Tonight, the moon was full, and the world was very still.

Lily stepped over the soft grass and found a glowing archway made of silver leaves. She pushed through it and gasped. The library was enormous, with tall shelves that reached the ceiling and books that floated gently in the air like fireflies. The floor was made of soft clouds, and the walls shimmered with colors that changed with every heartbeat.

As she wandered deeper into the library, a gentle voice said, "Welcome, little reader." Lily turned and saw a creature with soft green skin, big round eyes, and a long, fluffy tail. He smiled kindly. "I’m Glimmer," he said. "I help lost readers find the stories they need most."

Lily told him about her girlfriend, Sophie, who loved stories that made her laugh and feel safe. Glimmer nodded and led her to a special reading nook nestled between two tall bookshelves. There, a glowing book floated into her hands. The cover was blue, with a picture of a cozy bed and a pair of sleepy friends snuggling under a blanket.

As Lily opened the book, the words began to glow and dance in the air. The story was about two friends who shared a bedtime every night, no matter how far apart they were. They would whisper stories to each other over the phone, and even though they couldn’t see each other, they could feel the love in every word. Sophie would always say, "I love you to the moon and back." And the other would say, "I love you to the stars and more."

When the story was done, Lily felt a warm, sleepy feeling in her chest. She looked up at Glimmer, who was smiling. "Sometimes the best stories are the ones that remind us how much we love someone," he said softly. "And sometimes, the best bedtime stories are the ones we make for our dearest friends."

Lily thanked Glimmer and stepped back through the archway, the library fading behind her. She tiptoed back to her room, the story still glowing in her heart. That night, she and Sophie snuggled under their blanket and whispered stories to each other, just like the ones in the Moonlight Library. And as they fell asleep, they both smiled, knowing they had the best bedtime story of all.
