Beware of Doña Celestina's Candy House!

Celestina was an old wrinkled woman who lived in the heart of a shadowy forest. Her cabin, small and crooked, looked like a giant mushroom covered in moss. She wasn't alone; she was accompanied by Sempronio and Parmeno, two black cats with eyes that shimmered like embers. But Sempronio and Parmeno were not ordinary cats. They were... different. Celestina was not just any old woman. She was a witch, a dark sorceress, and not one of the good ones. Every year, on Halloween night, her twisted plans came to life. Her goal: to catch children. Sempronio and Parmeno were her indispensable accomplices.

Celestina's magic allowed Sempronio and Parmeno to transform into children. Yes, children! Two mischievous and smiling kids who used their charm to trick other children. Their favorite trap was the 'Candy House.' Sempronio and Parmeno, turned into children, ran through the town, shouting: 'Come to the Candy House! Where there are no rules, no parents telling you not to eat!'

In the picturesque village at the edge of the forest, lived Melibea, a seven-year-old girl with honey-colored eyes and a smile that lit up the day. She was the mayor's daughter, a beloved girl by all for her kindness and generous heart. Melibea had an inseparable friend, Calisto, a nine-year-old boy, brave and protective, who always looked out for her.

This Halloween, Celestina was especially agitated. She stirred her cauldrons, muttered spells, and sharpened her long yellow claws. Sempronio and Parmeno, impatient, rubbed against her legs, purring with anticipation. 'This year will be the best!' hissed Celestina, with a laugh that chilled the blood.

That afternoon, Melibea and Calisto dressed up to trick or treat. Melibea had dressed as a sparkling fairy, with wings of tulle and a magic wand. Calisto, on the other hand, had transformed into a brave knight, with a cardboard armor and a wooden sword.

As they walked through the town streets, filling their baskets with candy, they heard a voice calling them from afar. 'Hey, kids! Come to the Candy House! We have all the sweets you can imagine!'

Melibea and Calisto looked at each other with curiosity. They had never heard of that house. The voice, sweet and tempting, came from two kids they didn't know. One, with blonde hair and blue eyes, winked at Melibea. The other, with brown hair and green eyes, offered a shiny candy to Calisto.

'What do you think if we go?' asked Melibea, excited. Calisto, however, was more cautious. Something in the look of those kids gave him a bad feeling. 'I don't know, Melibea. I've never heard of that house. And I don't trust strangers much,' replied Calisto, frowning.

But Melibea was too curious to resist. 'Come on, Calisto! Just for a little while! I promise if we don't like it, we'll leave right away,' insisted Melibea, tugging his hand.

Calisto, reluctantly, agreed. The four kids entered the forest, following a dark and little-traveled path. As they moved away from the village, the atmosphere became darker and quieter. The trees rose like twisted skeletons, and the moon, hidden behind the clouds, barely illuminated the path.

Finally, they arrived at a small cabin, lit with a strange and trembling light. The air smelled of burnt sugar and sweet spices. 'Here it is! The Candy House!' exclaimed the blonde boy, opening the door wide.

Upon entering, Melibea and Calisto were stunned. The cabin was full of sweets of all shapes and colors. Giant lollipops, gummy candies, chocolate cakes, gingerbread cookies... It was a paradise for sweet lovers!

'Welcome! Eat whatever you want!' said the brown-haired boy, with a malicious smile. Melibea, forgetting Calisto's warnings, jumped on a mountain of candies. Calisto, still suspicious, watched the two kids carefully.

Suddenly, the door slammed shut. Celestina appeared, wrapped in a black cloak, with her bright eyes and bony fingers. 'Ja, ja, ja! Welcome to my trap, little innocents!' shouted Celestina, with a grating voice. Sempronio and Parmeno, returning to their feline form, rubbed against her legs, purring with satisfaction.

Calisto, realizing the danger, pushed Melibea behind him. 'Run!' shouted Calisto, drawing his wooden sword. Melibea, scared, hid behind a barrel full of candies.

Celestina cast a spell, but Calisto, with agility, dodged it. The cabin filled with smoke and sparks. Calisto fought bravely, but Celestina was too powerful.

Then, Melibea, remembering she was a fairy, waved her magic wand. A bright ray of light hit Celestina, destabilizing her. Calisto took the opportunity to push open the door.

'Run, Melibea, run!' shouted Calisto. The two kids ran out of the cabin, back into the dark forest. Celestina, furious, chased them, but Calisto and Melibea were faster.

Finally, they reached the village, safe and sound. They ran to tell the mayor, Melibea's father, what had happened. The mayor, surprised and grateful, organized a search to find Celestina's cabin, but the witch and her cats had disappeared.

Since then, every Halloween, the children of the village remember the story of Doña Celestina's Candy House. And although the candies are tempting, they always remember to be cautious and never trust strangers. And Calisto, the brave knight, continues to protect Melibea, the sparkling fairy, forever.
