Once upon a time, there was a garden. It was a very big garden. The garden was full of soft, green grass. The garden was full of tall, colorful flowers. In the middle of the garden, there was a patch of soil. The soil was dark and very rich. The soil was very soft. Deep inside the soil, there were small plants. These plants were just starting to grow. They were tiny and green. They had small leaves. The sun was hot and bright in the sky. The plants were very thirsty. They needed water to grow big and strong. Henry the hamster lived in this garden. Henry was a very small hamster. He had soft, golden-brown fur. He had a round, white belly. He had a tiny pink nose. Henry had big, black, sparkly eyes. Henry loved his garden very much. He saw the plants in the soil. He saw that the dirt was very dry. 'The plants need water,' Henry said. Henry found a small red watering can. He filled it with cool, clear water. He walked to the patch of soil. He poured the water on the plants. Splash, splash, splash! The water went into the dark soil. The plants drank the water. They were very happy now. The leaves looked very green. The garden felt cool and fresh. Henry smiled his little hamster smile.

Henry walked further into the garden. He looked at the big green leaves. 'Look! A caterpillar!' Henry cried out loud. The caterpillar was bright green. It had many tiny legs. It was crawling slowly on a leaf. Crunch, crunch, crunch. The caterpillar was eating the leaf. It was a very hungry caterpillar. Henry watched the caterpillar eat. Then, Henry looked up at the sky. 'Look! A butterfly!' Henry said with joy. The butterfly was very beautiful. It had large wings. The wings were bright blue and purple. The butterfly fluttered its wings fast. It flew over the red flowers. It flew over the yellow flowers. The butterfly was very light and graceful. Henry liked the butterfly’s beautiful wings. They looked like jewels in the sun. Then, Henry looked down at the ground. He saw something moving very slowly. 'A little snail is here too!' Henry said. The snail was small and grey. It had a hard shell on its back. The shell had a pretty swirl pattern. The snail moved slowly across a flat stone. It left a shiny trail behind it. The snail was not in a hurry. The snail liked the wet grass. Henry liked his little friends. The garden was full of life.

Henry was a very happy hamster. He was a very busy hamster. He liked to help his friends. He liked to watch the plants grow. Henry walked to a giant yellow sunflower. The sunflower was taller than Henry. It was taller than the bushes. Henry sat down under the sunflower. The petals were bright like the sun. The seeds in the middle were dark. Henry felt safe under the big flower. He saw the green caterpillar again. The caterpillar was resting now. He saw the blue butterfly again. The butterfly landed on a petal. He saw the little snail again. The snail was near a cool rock. 'We are all friends,' Henry thought. The garden was a perfect home. Henry felt the warm breeze on his fur. He smelled the sweet scent of the roses. He heard the birds singing in the trees. The garden was a very peaceful place. Henry was glad he watered the plants. He was glad he met the caterpillar. He was glad he saw the butterfly. He was glad he found the snail.
Henry decided to explore more of the garden. He found a small pile of pebbles. He climbed over the pebbles. He found a tiny puddle of water. He saw his reflection in the water. He saw his golden-brown fur. He saw his white belly. He saw his pink nose. Henry felt very proud to be a garden hamster. He looked at the sky again. The sun was starting to go down. The sky was turning orange and pink. The garden looked different in the soft light. The flowers started to close their petals. The caterpillar found a cozy spot under a leaf. The butterfly flew back to its home in the trees. The snail crawled into its hard shell. Henry knew it was time to rest. He walked back to his little house. His house was under a big oak tree. It was warm and full of soft straw. Henry curled up into a little ball. He closed his big black eyes. He thought about the thirsty plants. He thought about the beautiful wings. He thought about the slow snail. Henry was a very lucky hamster. He lived in the best garden in the world. He fell fast asleep. He dreamed of green leaves and blue wings. He dreamed of cool water and soft soil. The garden was quiet and still. The moon came out to watch over the friends. It was a very good night in the garden.
