Lila had always loved baking, especially when the moon was full. Her grandmother, a wise old baker with flour in her hair and stories in her heart, had taught her the old ways. One night, as Lila mixed batter with a spoon that had once belonged to her great-grandmother, she noticed something strange: the muffin she was making began to shimmer with a silver light. It glowed like the moon itself, and the scent of blueberries and dreams filled the kitchen.

"What is this, Gran?" Lila asked, her eyes wide with wonder. Her grandmother smiled, her eyes twinkling like stars. "That, my dear, is a Moonlight Muffin. With a deep breath, Lila set off toward the forest. The trees towered above her, their branches intertwined like ancient hands. The frog watched, his eyes wide. "A gift for a gift, little baker," he said, then leapt into the water and swam to the other side, leaving a small stone bridge for her to walk on.

Lila crossed the stream with ease, her heart light with joy. She pressed on, and soon she reached the clearing where the Sky Ladder stood, a tall, spiraling rope of silver light that stretched into the sky. She climbed, hand over hand, her breath steady, her heart full. Each rung of the ladder glowed with a soft light, and with every step, she felt closer to the stars.

At the top, the stars were waiting. They shimmered and twinkled, and one, a bright silver star, spoke. "You have come far, little baker. You have been kind, brave, and generous. You have shared your gift with the forest, and now you may share it with us."

Lila smiled and held out the Moonlight Muffin. The star took it in its light and turned it into a constellation, a glowing pattern that danced across the sky. Lila watched in awe as the muffin became a part of the night, a reminder of kindness and love.

As she climbed back down the Sky Ladder, the stars whispered, "You have done well, little baker. May your nights always be filled with dreams and wonder."
