Noggin Story Time Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Once upon a time, in a sunny forest filled with tall trees and gentle breezes, a curious girl named Goldilocks skipped through the woods. She had a red bow in her hair and a basket full of wildflowers. Her favorite game was to explore, and today, she had wandered farther than ever before.

As she walked, she noticed a small cottage with a thatched roof and smoke curling from the chimney. 'I wonder who lives here,' she thought. She peeked through the window and saw three bowls of porridge on a table. 'What a cozy place!' she said to herself. Without knocking, she pushed the door open and stepped inside.

The first bowl of porridge was too hot for her. She blew on it, but it was still too hot. The second bowl was just right. 'This is perfect!' she said, and she ate it all up. Then she found three chairs. The first was too big, the second was too small, and the third was just right. She sat down and giggled as she spun around in it.

Next, she noticed three beds in the room. The first bed was too hard, the second was too soft, and the third was just right. She climbed in and curled up, thinking, 'This is the coziest bed ever!' She fell asleep right there, unaware of the bears who would soon come home.

The bears, Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear, came home from their walk in the woods. Papa Bear was the tallest and loudest, Mama Bear was gentle and kind, and Baby Bear was small and giggly. They smelled porridge, saw the empty bowls, and heard the creak of the chair. 'Someone has been here!' they cried.

They checked the chairs and the beds. 'Someone sat in my chair and ate my porridge!' said Papa Bear. 'Someone slept in my bed!' said Mama Bear. Baby Bear peeked into the third bed and gasped. 'She’s still here!' he said. Then, he tiptoed to the door and whispered, 'Goldilocks!'

Goldilocks jumped up, startled. She looked around and said, 'I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to be rude. I just wanted to see your home.' The bears looked at each other. Mama Bear said, 'Well, you did eat my porridge and sit in my chair. But since you were polite and said sorry, we can forgive you.'

Goldilocks blushed and said, 'I will be more careful next time. Thank you for being kind.' The bears smiled and said, 'Come, sit with us. We can share a story.' And so, Goldilocks sat with the three bears, listened to their tale, and went home that night with a full heart and a lesson learned.

From that day on, Goldilocks always knocked before entering a house and never took anything without asking. And the three bears never forgot the girl who had learned to be kind and polite.
