In the quiet village of Starbrook, there lived a baker named Lila who loved to make cookies. Every night, as the moon rose high, she would step outside and gather moonlight in a silver bowl. 'Moonlight makes the sweetest treats,' she would whisper, smiling at the stars. One night, a shy little boy named Timmy came to her door, holding a crumpled note that read, 'I’m scared of the dark. Can you help me?'
Lila poured a bit of moonlight into a small tin and handed it to Timmy. 'Take this, and it will light your way,' she said. Timmy’s eyes sparkled as he held the glowing tin, and he ran home, no longer afraid. The next day, the whole village noticed how bright and happy Timmy looked. Soon, more children came to Lila, each with their own worries — a girl who missed her parents, a boy who was lonely, and even a friendly monster who was lost.
Lila used her moonlight to make cookies that brought comfort and joy to everyone. The monster, named Mogo, became her helper, carrying cookies to the village children and singing soft songs under the stars. The villagers gathered each night for a moonlit cookie feast, sharing stories and laughter beneath the glowing sky. As the stars twinkled above, Lila would smile, knowing that kindness had spread like moonlight across the town.
One night, as the moon shone brighter than ever, Lila made her final batch of cookies. She wrapped them in silver paper and handed them out to all the children. 'Kindness is the sweetest magic of all,' she said, and with that, the village fell into a peaceful sleep, dreaming of moonlight and cookies. The end.
