One crisp autumn evening, as the sun dipped behind the hills, Lila tiptoed past the old stone wall that surrounded the village. Her grandmother had told her stories of a hidden garden that bloomed only under the full moon. ‘It’s where dreams come to rest,’ she’d whispered. Lila had always believed her, but now, with the moon glowing silver above, she felt it was time to find out for herself.
The path was overgrown with vines and soft moss, but Lila pressed on, her heart beating like a drum. When she reached the center of the village square, she found a gate covered in ivy. As she touched it, the ivy shimmered and the gate creaked open, revealing a garden full of glowing flowers and trees that whispered secrets in the wind. The air smelled of honey and lavender, and the stars seemed closer than ever.
“Hello there,” said a gentle voice. Lila turned to see a boy with a cloak of starlight and eyes like the night sky. “You’re the first to find the garden this year,” he said. His name was Eli, and he had been waiting for someone to join him. Together, they wandered through the garden, listening to the whispers of the trees and dancing in the light of the moon. Eli showed her how to listen to the heart of the garden, and Lila shared her favorite stories from her grandmother.
As the moon began to fade, Eli helped Lila find her way back to the village. “Come back next year,” he said, his voice soft with promise. Lila smiled, knowing she would. As she returned home, she fell asleep with the scent of lavender still in her hair, and the memory of a boy with a starlight cloak in her heart. The garden had given her a little piece of magic—and a promise of more to come.
