One moonlit night, Milo the mouse, who lived in a cozy burrow beneath a big old oak tree, heard a soft jingle-jangle. Curious, he tiptoed out of his home and saw a tiny red cart pulled by a silver moonbeam. Perched on the cart was a man with a hat made of stars and a beard of clouds. 'Good evening, little mouse,' the man said with a warm smile. 'I’m the Moonlight Mailman, and I deliver dreams to children who are kind and curious.'
Milo’s eyes sparkled. 'Can I help?' he asked. The Mailman handed him a tiny envelope marked with a glowing heart. 'This is for a girl named Lila who’s afraid of the dark. Her dream is about flying with butterflies.' Milo nodded and followed the Mailman as they glided over hills and through the trees. The air smelled of lavender and honey, and the stars twinkled like tiny lanterns.
As they approached Lila’s window, the Mailman whispered, 'You must say the magic words: “Dreams are gentle, dreams are bright.”' Milo took a deep breath and spoke them aloud. The window opened, and Lila’s eyes fluttered open with a smile. She floated gently out of her bed, her arms filled with butterflies, and drifted back to sleep with a happy sigh. Milo felt a warm glow in his chest, like a hug from the moon itself.
From that night on, Milo helped the Moonlight Mailman deliver dreams every evening. He learned that even the smallest creatures can make the biggest difference with kindness and courage. And every time he returned home, he would tuck himself into his burrow, feeling safe, loved, and full of wonder. The end.
Moral: Small acts of kindness can light up the world, just like dreams under the moonlight.
