It was the night before the full moon, and the animals of Willow Creek had been buzzing with excitement. The air smelled like fresh pine and warm earth, and the wind whispered secrets through the tall grass. As the sun dipped behind the hills, the forest came alive with soft rustles and chirps. Every year, on the night before the full moon, the animals of Willow Creek gathered for their favorite tradition: Story Story Night. It was a time to share tales, laugh, and listen under the stars.

Owlberta, the wise old owl, perched on her favorite branch, her golden eyes gleaming in the twilight. She clapped her wings and called out, "Come one, come all! The moon is rising, and so is our Story Story Night!" Soon, the forest was filled with the soft sounds of paws on leaves, wings in the air, and the occasional bark of a curious fox. Little Squirrels bounced in their seats, and even the grumpy old badger, Bramble, smiled as he listened. "But Hazel didn’t fly all by herself," Owlberta continued. "She met friends along the way—a brave rabbit who helped her cross the river, a kind deer who shared her blanket on a cold night, and a wise old turtle who told her the secret of the Sky Tree."

The forest was quiet as the animals listened, their breaths soft and slow. Hazel, they imagined, climbed the Sky Tree, her tiny paws gripping the bark, and as she reached the top, she spread her arms wide. The feather shimmered, and suddenly, she was flying! The stars twinkled around her, and the wind sang in her ears. She was no longer small or shy—she was brave and free.

When Owlberta finished her tale, the animals clapped and cheered, their voices echoing through the trees. "That was the best story yet!" squeaked a little mouse. "I want to fly too!" The animals laughed, and Owlberta smiled. "Stories give us wings, little friends. They help us dream, and sometimes, they help us fly."
