Once upon a time, in a soft green forest where the trees whispered lullabies and the breeze smelled like fresh honey, there lived the Three Little Bears. Their names were Bramble, Thistle, and Clover. Each had a cozy nest in a hollow tree, and they shared a big, thick blanket made of clouds, which was as warm as a hug from Mama Bear.
One chilly night, the wind blew so strongly that the cloud blanket slipped off the tree and floated up, up, up into the sky. The bears looked up with wide eyes and little paws pressed together. "Oh no," said Bramble, "we’ll be cold all night!" Thistle sniffled, "What if we can’t find it again?" Clover hugged herself, "Maybe the moon knows where it went."
So they set off, tumbling and tumbling through the forest, past the whispering willows and the giggling daisies. They reached the edge of the woods, where the moon sat high and bright, like a silver plate in the sky. "Dear Moon," called Clover, "can you help us find our blanket?" The moon blinked, shining down with a soft glow. "I’ve got it," she said, "but I need a little help from you three."
The moon asked them to gather things that made them feel warm and safe. Bramble brought a cup of hot cocoa, Thistle a feather pillow, and Clover a daisy chain. They placed them on the ground, and the moon smiled. "Now, hold hands and sing a lullaby to the sky," she said. The bears sang in harmony, their voices as soft as snowflakes. The moon listened, and then she stretched her light down like a long, warm thread, wrapping the blanket back down to the forest floor.
The cloud blanket landed gently in the clearing, warm and soft as ever. The bears gathered around it, hugging it tight. "Thank you, Moon," they said, and the moon winked. "You’re always welcome."
That night, the bears slept soundly, wrapped in their blanket, with the moon shining down on them. They dreamed of stars, of soft pillows, and of a forest that always loved them. And from that day on, whenever the moon was high, the bears would sing their lullaby, just to say thank you.
And so, the Three Little Bears learned that when you share your warmth and kindness, even the moon will help you find your way home.
