A Funny Small Story About a Tickle-Tongued Turtle

In a quiet corner of the Forest of Wiggles, where the trees hum lullabies and the mushrooms whisper secrets, lived a shy little turtle named Tilly. Tilly had a shell that was the color of peaches and a smile that only came out when she found a juicy berry. One morning, while Tilly was wading through the Dewy Ditch, she heard a grumpy groan coming from a mossy rock. There, hunched over a pile of rocks, was a grumpy old tortoise named Torg. Tilly thought for a moment, then tilted her head. 'What if we make a deal? I’ll still giggle, but I’ll try to tickle only when you’re awake and ready to laugh. And you can try to laugh instead of grumble. We can be friends.'

Torg looked at her, surprised. 'Friends? With a tickle-tongued turtle? Why would I want that?'

'Because,' said Tilly, wiggling her tongue just a little, 'I can make the best tickles in the whole forest. And I promise, I’ll only do it when you say it’s okay.'

Torg sighed, then gave a tiny, reluctant smile. 'Fine. But only if you don’t tickle me while I’m eating my favorite beetroot stew.'

From that day on, Tilly and Torg became the best of friends.
